摘要：This talk will introduce the use of machine learning methods in randomized controlled trials, including (1) developing treatment information, (2)measuring outcomes, (3) evaluating treatment effects, and (4) adaptive assignment. Applications in Chinese education policy research will be discussed.

主讲人简介：Xiaoyang Ye is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Education Policy at the Annenberg Institute. He studies the economics of education, with a focus on understanding and advancing education policies to reduce poverty and inequality. He currently works on improving college access, choice, and successusing big data-based behavioral policy interventions with local, state, and national policy/practice partners in both the U.S. and China. He was a National Academy of Education/Spencer Dissertation Fellow and received the New Scholars Award and the Jean Flanigan Outstanding Dissertation Award from AEFP. He earnedhis Ph.D. in Higher Education (economics and K-20 education policy concentrations) from the University of Michigan in 2019 and was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton School of Public and International Affairs in 2019-20.
